This election has divided the country like no other. A lot of Americans were already mad at the system. Getting two people that have been some of the most hated runners in history, did not help the situation. This election has been a - "if you're not on my side you obviously are with the other". This has really increased the divide in our country. A vote for Trump was thought to be a vote against the system. It was a vote against the traditional politician, and Trump gave people an avenue away from that. He was the anti politician. His win showed that a lot of Americans are angry, and they want something different. In the heat of everyone getting upset with this election, people have forgotten what is really important. We are in this together, we are the United States of America. We are not divided, and when things get tough we don't run, we stick together and make things better. We need each other now more then ever. Don't let the results of an election ruin your relationships with people, realize that being president is a small part of our Democracy and the people around us are more important than the person running our country. I am disappointed in myself. I keep forgetting to put my alarm on. I get to class late. I feel a little better because I get more sleep but I need to go to bed earlier. I am disappointed because I spend more time messing around, when I should be working. Turning in papers late, getting to class late, and turning things in incomplete. I will get myself up, out of this slump. I will be better, I will be persistent, I will work hard. I will be the best me I can.
Happiness is all perspective. Appreciation of what you have is the most important thing. If you don't already appreciate what you have, you will never get enough that will make you happy. Be thankful of the people in your life, the accomplishments you have made, the goals you are setting and accomplishing. Be thankful for life itself. We have been given a single life, so make the most of it. It's hard not to get bogged down on the negatives, but if you are happy with what you have, it will have been a life worth living. Finding yourself is important in everything. John Maxwell talks about it in the context of success. I think that finding yourself will direct you towards a more linear pathway to success. In my opinion the journey mostly consists of finding what success means to you. Is it getting lots of money, a big house, an expensive car, a personal jet? Or is it something less grand, like a house in the city, with a big family and a comfortable lifestyle? Whatever it is, that's what takes the longest to find out. Some people longer than others, but when we do find it, it is easier to get where we are going. The path has cleared itself, and we are ready to walk through it. John Maxwell makes a great point, saying, "Success can be very subjective", no two people have the exact same definition of success. It is remarkable how much our opinions differ when it comes to personal success. John Maxwell is right, finding yourself is the first step to a successful future.
Source- https://goo.gl/Zi9Gx4 There are many ways to deal with stress. Some ways I will try to use are taking a bit of time off, and trying to keep myself healthier. It is really important you get the nutrients and vitamins you need. It has been shown in many studies that physical activity and healthy eating is important in reducing stress and keeping your mind healthy. Having a healthy body gives you more energy to do more things during the day. Like everything time is also a hugely important part of keeping stress in control. This is what I will use to keep myself stress free.
Source- https://goo.gl/AJPz0D It's important to be competitive. But not to the point where you are winning unfairly and in terrible ways. I feel it's important to be honest and respectful. Also if you are the type of person that doesn't enjoy a challenge then there is little chance you will be successive. There has to be a challenge for you to overcome, a problem to be fixed. If you aren't confident in how you fixed that problem or overcame that challenge then success is far away. Throughout this journey of success you want friends, to be with you and support your dreams. Without friends the road to success is a lonely one. Regardless if you're pressuring success, friends are hugely important. All these are important parts to a successful future in my opinion.
This quote describes how everyone acts. If you are committed and passionate about doing something you will find a way. To whoever wants it, it doesn't matter if it seems impossible. You can always find a way. The greatest people have found and created things never before imagined. Planes for example. The Wright Brothers were committed to building a flying machine. And with hard work and dedication they were able to build the first airplane. This doesn't have to be a new invention. If you are trying to learn programming, like I am, it is going to take a while. It not easy but if you are serious about what you want to do. There is a way. If you need to find an excuse, than you don't want to do it. Either find a way, or find something different. "Success depends less on strength of body than upon strength of mind and character." — Arnold Palmer9/26/2016 This quote is very accurate. Most of the richest people in the world got rich from a business or some kind of investment. It's less about how strong they are physically, than how strong their mind is. What that means to me? It stresses the importance of decisions and how you think about life. You can't get through life with just your body. Your brain is what runs that body and you need it to be successful. You can't make good decisions about your financial future or your future at all without the brain power to think about that. That is the reason people encourage higher education and schooling. It very important to have a good mental state to be successful at life.
Summer of 2016 I mostly worked. I started working at the end of June. I lifeguard for an indoor pool in Royal Oak. It has been a great experience because a lot of stuff happened. Almost all of our lifeguards left and me and a few others had to keep the pool going through this rough patch. Other than work I mostly played video games, trying to enjoy the last year of being in high school. Before being bombarded with bills and more responsibilities than ever. I really enjoyed this summer because with all the work I did I got enough money to build my own computer. It took about a week for all the parts to arrive. I was supper exited to build it and see what it could do. This computer really pulled me in and took a bunch of my summer. Of course I did all the typical summer things too, like go to the pool, go to the beach and sleep :P. It was a nice summer.
